Part time Careers and Work Opportunities in United States

Part-time Work Opportunities

Students are allowed a maximum of 20 hours per week., With F-1 Visa: on-campus work is allowed and off-campus work is permitted only after the first academic year. Maximum of 40 hours per week during breaks.

Post Study Work VISA

With F-1 Visa: Students completing a Bachelors or Masters program can get Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension and stay for 12 months in the USA., Students pursuing STEM courses get an additional 17 months (making a total of 29 months) under STEM OPT extension., With J-1 or M-1 Visa: Students get a grace period of 30 days to apply for a work visa.
